Winter via ferrata
in St. Anton
The St. Anton winter via ferrata is not for the faint-hearted. The 850-metre-long, high alpine ridge crossing, which is considered one of the most beautiful winter via ferratas in Tyrol, requires alpine experience and a little courage. Via ferratas like this one offer unique views and unforgettable experiences for experienced mountaineers.
Skis or snowboard are strapped to your back after the ascent with the lift, and then the ascent begins, secured with a wire rope throughout, over rock and snow. The reward after the ascent is an incomparable view over Verwall and the Lechtal Alps - and then the descent from the Rossfallscharte at 2,732 meters through open terrain beckons.
This adventurous sport requires skill and the right equipment and ideally takes place as part of a guided tour.
